Principal's Message
Greetings Sunny Heights Families,
The 2nd quarter is off to a GREAT start at Sunny Heights Elementary! The first week back from Fall Break has been busy as we have welcomed back our students, welcomed new students to the building, and got back into our routines, expectations, and procedures.
We had an opportunity Thursday night to hold our Parent/Teacher conferences and the turnout was AMAZING! Conferences are so very important to strengthen the relationship between teachers and families. It is great to discuss student successes, struggles, needs, and more as a team. Please do not hesitate to reach out to school staff outside of conferences as well. CONNECT, CONNECT, CONNECT!
Finally, as we enter the cold and flu season, it is ever so important to continue working with your students concerning health and safety at school. All students are required to wear face masks during the school day (except while actively eating lunch). We appreciate your efforts to help students understand the importance of this for their safety and the safety of others.
As always, do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
Thank you for all that you do!
Bart Lewis
Principal, Sunny Heights Elementary

In preparation for this eLearning Day, I wanted to share some general information with our families in advance.
Depending on your grade level and learning model, there is unique information to be aware of for Tuesday, November 3rd.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will bring home their extended learning activities on Friday, Oct. 30 for use on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd.

Internet hotspots are available for 3rd and 4th grade families will need support ensuring their students can log in to their student’s CANVAS. If you would like to check out a hotspot, please give us a call by Oct. 30.

ALL STUDENTS - ATTENDANCE
For the 2020-2021 school year, Warren Township has transitioned to a new student information system called Synergy allowing our parents and caregivers to have improved access to school information through the parent portal called ParentVUE. We are aware that at this time some students’ attendance records are reflecting students are absent, when in fact they were present. This is mostly the case for our students who are attending school VIRTUALLY on application days or in the VIRTUAL opinion full-time. We want to assure you that teachers are keeping accurate attendance records and that we are working to correct attendance records for all our students.
