The Titan Times
Georgie D. Tyler Middle School
Information for the week of September 3rd - 7th
Greetings GTMS Parents and Students!
My name is Jessica Harding, Principal of Georgie D. Tyler Middle School, and I am honored to serve you this school year! This is my 4th year in leadership at GTMS and my 3rd as Principal. Please join me in welcoming our new Assistant Principal, Mrs. Kristen Wilkins! Together, we have spent our summer planning our most exciting year yet! Our teachers have been working hard to provide students with a loving, caring environment that builds strong relationships, while encouraging students to critically think.
We are thrilled to announce that we have a full time School Resource Officer this year. Deputy Hanley will be helping to provide a safe and secure experience for our students and staff. This year, parents will receive a weekly newsletter that will provide important school wide dates and information. This newsletter will be sent every Friday afternoon with information for the following week. We ask if there are any changes to your email address, you update the change in power school as soon as possible so that you do not miss critical information. If you need assistance with updating your information in powerschool, our front office staff will be happy to assist you.
Paper copies of the Titan Times are available upon request. Phone calls will also be made to communicate important information. Individual teachers may also use different forms of communication for specific class information (example: Class dojo, blooms). Please check with your child’s teachers for this information.
We look forward to a year full of educational excitement and appreciate your support.
