A Message from Nurse Abby.....
Happy Friday Bears!
The year is quickly coming to a close, I wanted to make sure and remind all parents that all medications need to be picked up by the last day of school, Thursday, 5/23. Please call me if you need to make special arrangements, I want to make sure all meds make it home safely. Any medications left after 5/23 will be disposed of.
Please return any clothes if your child happened to come home in clothes from the BES clinic. I am missing a lot of items. Interested in helping stock the clinic?? Please think of us when you are getting rid of clothes your child has outgrown.
Greatest need: size 6-10 bottoms (adjustable waistband preferred), size 6-10 unisex tops, boys underwear size 6-8.
With outdoor temps getting warmer, it’s important our Bears are staying hydrated, please send a water bottle to school with your child.
Stay Healthy,
Nurse Abby

Happy Friday Bears!
3rd and 4th grade students will take STAAR next Monday and Tuesday. Here are a few tips to remember to make sure your mind and your body are prepared!
· Get a good night’s sleep so that your body feels well rested for the day. 8 ½ to 11 hours is recommended. Try winding down 30 minutes before your bedtime. Use this time to read a book together with your family or reflect on your day.
· Eat a good breakfast that contains a good source of proteins and complex carbohydrates. Some good examples are eggs, nuts, yougurt, fruit, and whole wheat breads or cereals. Try your best to avoid sugary foods, like donuts, on testing day. The cafeteria serves breakfast between 7:00-7:30 am if you are not able to eat breakfast at home.
· Get up in time to be able to eat a good breakfast and relax before coming to school. Set out your clothes the night before, pack your lunch, and know what you will be eating for breakfast. Being rushed in the morning does not start our day off in the right direction.
· Have a positive attitude! Tell yourself you can do it!
· Take a deep breath and relax! We went over ways to relax during guidance.
Good Luck Bears!!
The Lost and Found is overflowing!! Eeeek!! Please remind your Bear to look for missing jackets or lunch boxes, etc. All items will be donated the Friday after the last day of school.
Safety Patrol
Please make sure you are here for your scheduled time. If it is bad weather, you are to open the school doors for students to welcome them in. If you are unable to do Safety Patrol, please let me know. It is okay if it is not working out, but we just need to know. The next group is:
May 13-May 23- (Green Group)
Bear Love,
