Enhanced Safety Protocols
- Prior arrival, please complete the ZCS Visitor Self-Screening Process for each family member. Please see the section below that contains a link that will take you to the screening tool.
- We have limited the number of families who will attend during each session in order to help us incorporate social distancing. We kindly request that families come only during their assigned time. Please refer to the email that was generated and sent to you when you completed the sign-up for your family. We encourage smaller numbers in attendance when possible.
- Masks will be required. Please ensure that all members of your family that are attending wear a mask while on our campus.
- Hand Sanitizing Stations will be set up throughout the space. Of course, there will also be restrooms available for hand washing as well. We would just ask that families follow social distancing protocols if choosing to enter a restroom.
- Cleaning and sanitizing will be conducted in between each session. Our sessions have been scheduled in order for us to ensure we have ample time to disinfect the areas in use prior to the next group's arrival time.
ZCS Visitor Self-Screening Process
Maintaining a healthy environment is a priority for ZCS and a duty of all individuals on campus. Every individual shall follow the process below each day prior to arrival on campus.
- Each visitor should access the screener tool on their smart phone or computer prior to coming to campus and complete the screening questions. Parents or guardians should complete for their small children.
- Click on this link for easy access: ZCS Visitor Screening Tool
- If an individual is told not to come to campus based on the responses, please contact the BME main office us at 317-873-2226 during normal office hours for assistance.
Additional Materials
As you know, we already have your required documents used for registration. However, there may be some other documents/materials that some families may need to provide. A list of possible other documents that you may want to bring with you are below:
- Medical forms/Health plans
- Legal/Court Documentation
What To Expect
You will be greeted outside Door 1, where we will verify your self-screening submissions and verify that you have enough masks for your family. Once that has occurred, you will be welcomed into the building and escorted to your table for the short presentation. At your table, you will find a folder full of important information.
During the presentation, the administrators will use a powerpoint presentation to highlilght important aspects of Kindergarten at BME. They will also walk all families through completing the Home Language survey, which is a required document that all new students must complete. There will also be a short time for questions in the large group setting.
At the conclusion of the presentation, additional BME staff members will arrive to take approximately three families each on a short partial building tour, which will include a Kdg classroom. During these tours we will ask families to practice 6 ft of separation from other families. Families will be given the opportunity to ask additional questions during these tours as well.
After the tour is complete, we kindly ask for families to promptly leave through Door 1 in order to help us prepare for the next group.
