The New England Laborers Training Program at Keefe Tech

The New England Laborers Training Program spent the last two weeks educating juniors and seniors about the job opportunities here in the state. This program, sponsored by the Department of Transportation, educates students in the careers in roadway construction, work zone safety, lines and grading and received CPR and first aid certifications. Tommy Lemon, of the laborers group, spent 5 days with each group helping them to see the opportunities. Shown are our students hard at work preparing the manholes for use.

Faculty Spotlight

Meet the Cosmetology Instructors! L-R, Tricia Richard, Brenna Salay and Marianne King. Together these three instructors have over 60 years of cosmetology experience in color, cutting and esthetics.

The Cosmetology students are hard at work collecting hours for their license. They enjoy working on customers in their classroom and have been invited out to a number of settings to demonstrate their skills. In December and February, the cosmetology students visited Framingham Housing Authority to provide manicures for residents. The students had a great time practicing their skills on the residents!

In their free time, Mrs. Richard loves to knit and sew, Mrs. Salay loves visiting the beach, and Mrs. King loves attending concerts, and they all love spending time with their kids, grandchildren, and families!

We LOVE the Cosmetology department!
