Morning & Afternoon Student Drop Off
With a large number of families moving into our area and changes in learning modality, we know we have many families who are just now becoming familiar with our daily car drop-off and pick-up procedures. As the seasons change, morning drop-off is dark so safety is of the utmost importance. We have established an efficient, orderly, safe process for car-lines both morning and afternoon. We move cars in large batches so that we can ensure students are safe while unloading and loading. We must ensure that students are all clear of the vehicles before any of them move.
In the mornings, please have your student put on his/her mask as you turn into the parking lot. When you enter the parking lot, please have your child gather his/her things and prepare to exit the vehicle. Once your batch of cars has stopped anywhere along the sidewalk between the cafeteria doors and the library (A) entrance, have your student exit your car and go to the closest door. You do not have to wait on an adult to open the car door once the batch of cars is stopped. Please have your student exit on the school-side of the vehicle. We have adults stationed along the line as well as at every entrance door and inside to facilitate students' entry into the building. If your child needs assistance to unbuckle or gather his/her things or an extended good-bye, please park in the parking lot and walk your child across at the crosswalk. The carline is busiest between 7:35-7:45 each morning. The building is open and students may go to their rooms beginning at 7:15. That time between 7:15-7:35 is the sweet spot for the most efficient carline drop-off. We generally unload 12-18 cars every 2-3 minutes during that time.
In the afternoons, please have your car tag visible when you turn into the parking lot. Cars are again batched into sections (A, B, C) and students will exit the building closest to their car pick-up section. Please put your vehicle in "park" when the batch comes to a stop since students will walk between cars to get to the outside line. We do not want any cars moving while students are in motion.
Finally, a few reminders:
- Cell phone usage is prohibited in school zones at all times.
- Please follow the directions of school personnel both in the car-line and at crosswalks.
- Please do not move or drive over our safety cones.
Thank you for doing your part to keep our students safe during arrival and dismissal each day.
RSE Retake Picture Day
At 10:15 any students who are in the panther academy clubs may come to the art room to take their club photo. The club photos will be a photoshop composite so that we can stay safe while still getting a group photo.

Thank You Longhorn Steakhouse!
The faculty and staff of RSES would like to say a huge thank you to Longhorn Steakhouse in Georgetown. They provided a delicious meal for us before the winter break.
It was a wonderful treat! Thank you to Jerry and Brad for arranging this for us! If you’re in Wolf Ranch and hunger strikes, please give them a try! We appreciate their support!
January Character Trait: Responsibility
Responsibility is our character value for January. It can be a balancing act in handing over more responsibility to your kiddos. They can do so much to help in the home;
they just need guidance in learning the expectation and patience as they work to get it right. The feeling of pride when they are successful is so worth the effort – it builds self-esteem
and it leaves them wanting more responsibilities! As always, thank you for your support!

RSE January Champions of the Month!
Mrs. Laura Morrison - Teacher Champion (Interventionist)
Mrs. Morrison's servant heart is a blessing to Rancho Sienna Elementary. She has a positive, can-do attitude and is willing to learn, help others and do whatever it takes to meet the needs of kids. She has had to juggle teaching in person and remote students and has done so beautifully. She came to our grade level to let us know that she had a small chunk of time that she would like to meet with our students in addition to our assigned time. She made sure to meet with us to get a list of those students together and get feedback from us on who needed the most help. She is making sure that ALL students are getting what they need. I have never worked with an interventionist who is more willing to help and add work to her plate. We are so lucky to have her, and our students reap the benefits of her dedication to help them learn.
Mrs. Nicole Stroup- Support Staff Champion
Mrs. Stroup is willing to jump in and help wherever she is needed. She puts kids first always! She is so sweet, friendly, calm, and easy going- every single day!! I just love working with her and enjoy her presence. Her kiddos love her too!! She has a knack for making and keeping relationships with the students she serves as well as others in the classroom. Mrs. Stroup always builds strong relationships with her students through deliberate acts of patience, kindness, and understanding.
Jordan Tuley- Student Champion
Jordan is always willing to share his thinking, and is a super helper for anyone who may need it. Jordan is a great cheerleader for his classmates. He is ready to celebrate their successes, even if they are not his own. He is a hard worker even when it is tough for him. His perseverance is like no other. Underneath the mask he is always smiling (you can see it in his eyes). He genuinely cares about his peers, the teachers on campus and goes out of his way to say hello and smile at everyone he meets. Jordan does EVERYTHING with a smile.
Jordan works hard and plays hard. He is PERFECT for this award!!
