Outside of work, I am a wife and mother of a 3 year old boy who is a cancer survivor. He was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at the age of 11 months and went through 2 rounds of chemo to help fight it. I can happily report, he has been cancer free for a year and a half. He is a typical 3 year old and keeps me very busy. We spend a lot of time at the beach, fishing, going to baseball games, etc.
This is my first year with Mosaica and am currently teaching 6th grade science and 8th grade science. I decided to pursue online teaching as a possible career change to be able to stay home and spend more time with family.
We are so happy to have you Jennifer - thanks for all that you do!!!!!
Mosaica Sunshine!
*As always, please keep Barbara Noel-Williams in your thoughts- she is a WARRIOR in her fight against cancer!!!!
Let me know of any concerns or celebrations within our Mosaica Online family!
Mosaica Online Enrichment Days
Thursday, January 23rd is Math Enrichment Day!
Only Paragon classes should be assigning work on that day. Math teachers should have received information from Kate Adams regarding the activity for the day. All other teachers please post a News item directing students to their math classes that day. If you have any questions, please let your IC know.

Our chefs are starting to get creative! Brannon Guest, 7th grader in AZ decided to use last month's Homemade Spaghetti Sauce with this month's Chicken Parmesan recipe, and it was a hit! "My whole family ate this and loved it!" Students learned how to bread and fry chicken, a technique that can be used in various recipes.

TEACHER TIP OF THE WEEK!
Verification of your PowerSchool rosters was due this past Wednesday. If you have not completed that yet, please do so ASAP.
· Please be sure to go back and update your CA and CO PowerSchool attendance for December based on any work that students completed over the two week break.
· Please make sure that your gradebook is up-to-date and that parent communication is documented in the seating chart.
· As you finalize your grades for GP2, please be sure to contact the parents of any student who has failed your course.
· Please double-check that your GP2 course is set with an end date of 1/22/14 at midnight. (If you are on Eastern Time, then you will want to set your end date for 1/23/14 at 3:00 am to make sure your CA students have until midnight….please adjust according to your time zone.)
· If you are teaching GP3, please make sure that your course is set up and ready to go before Jan. 23rd. (If you have students in India, remember that that are about 11 hours ahead of us, so plan accordingly.)
· If you were unable to attend the 6-12 meetings on Monday, Jan. 13th about GP2 and GP3, please take some time to watch the recordings that were sent by your Instructional Coordinator.
