Listening To Music In Class

By Charas Foyil

I think that listening to music in class should be allowed if you wear ear buds or headphones so that you wouldn't disrupt other students.

I think it is a good idea because music can help you concentrate more on your work then on other people ( or other peoples work :p ). The music would calm you and help you focus on schoolwork.

Music actually helped Thomas Jefferson write the Declaration of Independence. He played his violin whenever he got stuck on the project harder than the Ashland Middle School homework.

Research from the University of Dayton found that students performed better at spatial and linguistic processing if Mozart was playing in the background.

Music helps you focus because specific musical structures simulate specialized brain circuits permitting people to work and think more easily.

Although, if you don't use your music the right way or you pay too much attention to the music, then you could end up being less focused on your work than before, but if you stay on track, and don't get distracted, then music is a great way to focus in class.
So depending on the info, i think that in the right time it is really helpful to listen to music when doing work.
Music helps calm your senses if it is the right kind of music.
