Description:
We will discuss how parents are intellectual resources for the teaching and learning of mathematics who can support the development of their children’s mathematical agency in and out of the mathematics classroom. We will look at how to restructure schools and parent partnerships to work together towards social justice in mathematics education and draw on examples from the MAPPS project and other research to illustrate potential considerations and pathways forward.

NCTM ANNUAL MEETING CHANGE (Apr.21-24, 2021)

After carefully considering the health and safety of participants and the uncertain future of events with large gatherings, the NCTM Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to postpone the NCTM Annual Meeting & Exposition in St. Louis from October 21-24, 2020 to April 21-24, 2021. 2021 ICTM & HASTI STATE CONFERENCE (Feb. 7-9, 2021)

Our 2020 Fall Conference will be moved to a joint Spring 2021 Conference for K-12 mathematics and science teachers. This is Super Bowl weekend! There will be complimentary appetizers and a cash bar on Sunday at the Indianapolis Marriott East. Stay tuned for more information!
