NTTBF21 School Day!
Fri. March 5th For teachers AND students
WHAT IS IT?
School Day @NTTBF is a free day of engaging middle grade and YA author programming for educators and young people in schools everywhere. No matter where you and your students are across the globe, or whether learners are face to face or virtual, we invite you to join us at School Day@NTTBF.
WHEN IS IT?
On Friday, March 5, 2021, the on-demand school festival programs will go live via NTTBF’S website (airing on the festival’s YouTube channel). The day will feature two keynote presentations and the remaining panels will be on demand starting at 10 AM CST. Teachers and librarians are encouraged to select and share a variety of programs with students and/or allow students the freedom to explore and watch programs of their choice.
On Demand Panel Schedule
HOW CAN MY CLASS/ SCHOOL DISTRICT PARTICIPATE?
It’s easy! No registration is required (remember, simply direct students to nttbf.org to watch!). Also, don’t forget to explore the author and program lineup for both days of NTTBF (Saturday is our traditional festival day with more incredible programs for people of all ages).
Educators Seeking Credit: On Demand sessions will be made available from March 10 to April 10. Educators must register with R10 or R11 ESC and follow instructions to earn 6 hours credit
Region 10 Educator Registration
Videos will be available from March 10-April 10. Educators will receive instructions on requirements to earn 6 hours credit upon registration
Region 11 Educator Registration
Videos will be available from March 10-April 10. Educators will receive instructions on requirements to earn 6 hours credit upon registration
CAN MY STUDENTS ASK QUESTIONS OF AUTHORS?
Absolutely! To make our panels seamless without asking the moderators to facilitate their programs and keep track of questions, we are asking for questions in advance for both School Day @NTTBF and Festival Day @NTTBF on Saturday. The link to submit questions is located here.
WHAT ELSE WILL BE HAPPENING AT SCHOOL DAY@NTTBF?
In addition to the incredible on demand author programs, educators and readers can explore virtual booths for activities, prizes, and giveaways by NTTBF’s presenting sponsor, HarperCollins Children’s Books, as well as other sponsors such as Disney Publishing Worldwide, Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, Penguin Young Readers, Random House Children’s Books, and Scholastic Publishing
