Parent Conferences
I have noticed the large number of parents coming in for the conferences. I know many of you will get lots of insight about your students after talking with their parents. I appreciate all of your hard work day in and day out meeting the needs of your students. Remember that you can only control what happen's in your students' lives from 7:45-2:45. You are making a difference in all of your students- even those that you feel are making no progress. Keep working hard! Your efforts will pay off in academic growth- I promise!
Make sure you have your game planned and ready to go for the festival. You will need a sign advertising your game and remember to set up prior to 5:00 in the courtyard Thursday evening. We will need help decorating the lobby Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. Please come and help if you can!
The ALICE drill was a success in that everyone got out and was very quiet. Remember to remind students to be calm as they exit the building and not loud. We will have a fire drill next Wednesday afternoon.
Please tell your students to remain quiet outside as they wait to be loaded. We are having an issue some days with the students being so loud on the sidewalk that they cannot hear their names being called to load. I know we are having an issue with some students talking a lot in class as well. Let's just all continue to remind them to stay quiet at the appropriate times. Hopefully, it will begin to stick.
SLO's
I hope you are finishing up your SLO. We need to meet to sign off on the SLO's for the fall conference. Please stop by my office during your planning Wednesday or after school Wednesday, and we can sign for the fall term. Let me know if you have any questions.
