A Message from our Principal...
Dear Jefferson Families,
Just a reminder, our new learning hours begin Monday, February 22nd. Hours are 8:00 - 12:30 and 2:00 - 3:00. These learning hours are carefully planned by classroom teachers. The remote learning hour from 2:00 - 3:00 is intentionally programmed to give students opportunities for enrichment and support. We expect students to attend each of these hours of school. Attendance will be taken. As always please call me if you have any questions or concerns.

Important Bus Information!!
If you have not already contacted your student's teacher to let them know whether your student will be coming back to in-person learning or continuing remotely PLEASE do so. Students can not be put on a bus route without you indicating that they need these services. The Durham bus company is working diligently to get every student that qualifies for busing on a route as soon as possible. If we did not hear from you by Tuesday, February 16th your student will not have any routing information until next week. You are more than welcome to bring your student to school on their scheduled days until Durham has sent you your routing information. Please feel free to contact our Jefferson office with any questions that you may have.

Mrs. Knop
My name is Sandy Knop and I am a speech-language pathologist at Jefferson School and Harvard Junior High School. At some point during my career in District 50 I have worked in every school!!
I grew up in Harvard and graduated from Harvard High School. I received my associates degree from McHenry County College and both my bachelor and master degrees from Northern Illinois University. I have two sons who are fourth generation graduates of Harvard High School and are now in their twenties. I also have a 15 year old lab-spaniel mix who is deaf and a big mama’s baby. I enjoy reading, crafting, walking, hiking and working in my yard.
Mrs. Delgado
Hello Jefferson family!
My name is Holly Delgado and I’m one of the bilingual speech/language pathologists (SLP) in Harvard CUSD50. I have worked in most of the schools in the district, but right now I work with students at Jefferson and at the junior high. One of the reasons I love working in Harvard is because of the strong sense of community and the sense of partnership between families and the schools. I also like getting out of the city since I live in Milwaukee!
As a bilingual SLP, I work in both English and Spanish with students who are having difficulty with their speaking and listening skills, which includes difficulty producing sounds, stuttering, difficulty understanding, difficulty with vocabulary, or difficulty explaining themselves (and so much more!) I have worked as a bilingual SLP in Wisconsin, Illinois and Texas. I received my Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a Bilingual Emphasis from the University of Texas at Austin. I enjoy collaborating with students, parents, teachers, and community partners to help support the communication skills of our bilingual students in CUSD50!
