This week has gone by so quickly and so many fun things are going on around Mill Pond! It is impressive to see all the students building back up their stamina and exercising their brains, bodies, and smiles. It will be just in time for our first full week next week!

1. Important Times at Mill Pond School

7:25 AM - Student Drop-Off begins

7:45 AM - Official Start of School Day

1:45 PM - Early dismissals from school end

2:10 PM - All students have been dismissed

2. 9/21 Emergency Drill

On Friday the 21st we will be conducting an emergency drill within the school to review protocols that exist in case the school was ever in an emergency situation. Our sample emergency situation will have a Mad Cow (Mr. "Cow"en) roaming the halls and teachers will be instructing the students on the appropriate response measures.

3.Update Contact Info & First Day Packets

If you have not done so already, please access and complete the required sign-off forms and update contact information through the PowerSchool portal. We are asking that parents please look over the information with their children and sign and submit them online as soon as possible.

4. Picture Day

Fall School Picture will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.

Picture forms will be sent home next Friday and the students should have the envelope form with the check to hand to the photographer before they have their picture taking.

5. Parent Group Meetings

Our first meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 18th was a lot of fun with many important topics covered. It looks like there are going to be numerous great events going on this year and I look forward to being an active participant! Please come to laugh and plan with us at our next meeting on 10/11 @ 7 PM All parents and guardians of current Mill Pond students are welcome and encouraged to attend. Can't wait to see you there!

7. Let’s Dance:

6th grade families: We need chaperones for Let's Dance. Currently, the sign-up shows only the first session. Once that fills, we'll release the next date and continue to release future dates as each session fills. Sign up here:

Let's Dance registrations for 6th graders are due by Friday. Please send cash or check made payable to Lamoureux School of Dancing. Put it an envelope with your child's name addressed to Let's Dance and send it into school with your child. More info can be found on the flyer attached.
