CRHS HAS A STATE CHAMPION!
CRHS has a State Champion! Over the weekend, Melissa competed at the NJSIAA Meet of Champions at GCIT for preliminaries on Saturday and finals on Sunday in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle. On Saturday, Melissa came out as the #1 seed in both events. On Sunday at finals in the 50 yard freestyle, Melissa swam a 23.42 and won officially being able to say that she is the "fastest female in the state" by 0.15 seconds. Melissa followed it up a short time later by finishing 2nd place overall in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 51.30. Over the weekend, Melissa one more time eclipsed her school record in both events that she set for the final time. Over her four year career, Melissa holds every school record that she could have broken including being part of all three record setting relays. She qualified for the Meet of Champions every year in multiple events and never finished lower than 10th place. Her work ethic has been amazing to witness over her career at CRHS and her state title was earned. Melissa will be continuing on at the next level as she will be swimming for the UConn Huskies. Congrats Melissa! Everyone is so proud of you!
Congratulations Chris Colson!
Over the weekend, Junior Chris Colson competed at the NJSIAA Meet of Champions in the 50 Freestyle. Chris swam a 22.71 in a very fast field representing the Colt Boys Program very well. Over the season, Chris finished 2nd overall in SJ at the SJISA Invitational Swim Meet and followed that up with a 2nd place showing at the Tri-County Showcase. Great season Chris! We are proud of your hard work, effort and dedication to being the best possible athlete that you could be.
