~ Homecoming Week has been a blast this week. Tomororw is School Spirit Day-- show your school spirit by wearing red, white, and black. Also, we will have Roosevelt pencils for sale for $0.25 in the cafeteria during lunch. Once a month this year we will be selling Roosevelt pencils in the cafeteria during lunch. After students are done eating, they can buy a pencil for 25 cents. This was an idea that was proposed to Mrs. Haggerty by last year's 5th graders. We are hoping to use the money made on the pencils to buy a pencil dispenser, which is what they wrote their persuasive letters on. Thanks to Mrs. Busch's last year's class for this great idea!
~ Open House & Book Fair: Mark you calendar...Thursday, October 24 is the Roosevelt Open House and Book Fair. This event will look a little bit different this year. More information is coming home tomorrow on a colored, tri-fold brochure--check it out in advance so you know how this event is changing!!!
~ Walk-A-Thon: Thank you so much for your support of this PTO fundraiser. As of now, the Roosevelt PTO raised nearly $13,000. Special prizes will be coming soon for those students who raised $75 or more. We will also recognize the top fundraisers in each grade level. Stay tuned!
~ NO SCHOOL on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 due to the MEA Break.
