Indiana's Native Americans
Learn about the life of a Native American from Indiana
Early Native Americans
We have been reading about the lives of early Native Americans in Indiana in our Social Studies textbook. We have explored how the earliest people adapted to their land, resources, and other people. When groups of people met, they had to adapt either positively or negatively to the differences of their cultures. These adaptations led to alliances, wars, and lifestyle changes such as trading.
As you read, consider our essential questions: How do people adapt to conflict? What happens when different groups of people meet?
