Succeeding in Middle School
7th Grade English
So far this year in the 7th grade English classes we have been focusing on developing good communication skills. We started with reviewing what a sentence needs to be complete, how to stop writing boring sentences, and are working through how to use proper email etiquette to communicate with teachers. Each week, students get a new “Article of the Week” assignment. They are learning how to do a “close read”, annotate/ mark up text, and think deeply about the text they are reading.
We want to remind you of the importance and benefits reading at home can have on your student’s education! Please encourage your students to read at home!
