Let's Rock the Red!
"Everyone can be great, because everyone can serve"
Starting tomorrow, we are challenging each class to raise $10 for the Go Heart Foundation! Rock The Red is the first ever bow fundraiser for the Gordon Owino Heart Foundation.Gordon is an eight-year-old FMSD student that was born with several life-threatening heart defects. His parents created this nonprofit foundation to provide support services to patients and families with heart defects in our area.”Rock the Red” flyers have been spread throughout our communities in Fort Mill to sell bows to hang on mailboxes through the month of February for national Heart Awareness Month. Our school has chosen to participate by raising funds to donate to the Gordon Owino Heart Foundation. Please send in CASH only to your child’s homeroom teacher February 8th through 11th. Once $10 has been collected, your child’s classroom will receive a BIG RED BOW to hang on the front of their classroom door. After the $10 has been collected for the bow, all other funds will be donated directly to the foundation.
We will be collecting donations from 2/8-2/11. On Friday 2/12, we encourage all students to wear red to raise awareness for the #1 heart defect affecting approximately 1 in 100 children. Thank you in advance for your support in this opportunity to serve others!
