Dear Father Doyle Families,
We had two wonderful Field Days this week for our 5th-8th grade and PK-4th grade students! Check out a few photos from the events below. A special thank you to Mrs. Black, our teachers and staff, and all of our parent volunteers who made these events possible. We're so grateful for your support!
A few other notes and happenings around FJVD:
- Our junior soccer team will play their first CAL playoff game this upcoming Tuesday, June 7th at 5:30pm at the Fish Hill Complex. Go Saints!
- FJVD Alumnus Neil Dungca was recently named Salutatorian for Hendricken High School's Class of 2022. Aside from being an alumnus, Neil has also completed over 150 hours of community service as a volunteer and tutor for Fr. Doyle School and Saints John and Paul Church. Congratulations, Neil, and thank you for your dedicated service!
- 48 brand new desks and chairs arrived at Father Doyle School! The new furniture will be assembled in the coming weeks and installed for the start of the 2022-2023 school year in both the 2nd grade and 8th grade classrooms.

End of Year Events and Calendar Reminders
Awards Night (Grades 4-8) - Friday, June 10th, 6:30pm
Families of students in grades 4-8 are invited to attend a brief Awards Night presentation on Friday, June 10th beginning at 6:30pm in the Parish Hall. To see an overview of Awards Night, click here.
Half Day - 11:30am Dismissal Tuesday, June 14th
Please note that the last day of school, Tuesday, June 14th will be a half day, with dismissal at 11:30am. Busses will run at 11:30am on their normal routes, and there will be no aftercare on Monday, June 13th or Tuesday, June 14th.
FJVD Bus Sign Up - 2022-2023 School Year
Are you a Coventry resident? Is your child planning to the take the bus next year? Please complete the form here. If you have any questions relating to busing, please email Mandy Benoit at MBenoit2@ridesta.com. You must complete this form even if your child(ren) are currently taking the bus. Please fill out one form per student. This form must be completed by June 30th. Thank you!
Yearbooks - Pre-Kindergarten - 7th Grade Students - Extended Due Date
We have extended the due date for ordering yearbooks until June 8th! Families in pre-kindergarten through 7th grade should have received an email to order yearbooks via Lifetouch online. If you did not receive this email and would like to order a yearbook, you can order one here: PreK - 7th Yearbook Order Form using the Yearbook ID: 1866622.

Reduce Waste and Help our School!
Do you have used ink cartridges at home? Father Doyle School is partnering with Planet Green Recycling to recycle use ink cartridges. The best part? It's entirely hassle free - all you have to do is drop your ink used ink cartridges off in the main office. We'll package and ship them to Planet Green, who ensures cartridges are properly recycled. Ultimately, the program helps save the environment and supports the school! Find out more here.

Participate in the FJVD Certificate Program!
This program is a great way to reduce the cost of your tuition while supporting FJVDl!
The Process:
- The school purchases shopping cards from all of your favorite stores
- You purchase the cards from the school, paying face value and spending the same dollars you would have paid to the stores directly
- The school earns a percentage discount offered by participating stores.
For each $50.00 you spend, you get a stamp on your Tuition Discount Card. Fill the entire card and redeem it for a $50.00 check or $75.00 tuition reduction.
Cards currently available include:
Stop & Shop, Applebee's, Barnes & Noble, Dave's, Dunkin Donuts, Panera, Wal-Mart and more!
Stop by the school Monday-Friday 7:45am-8:15am, the Rectory Monday-Friday 1:45-2:15pm, or in the Parish Center after the 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30am Sunday Masses to purchase your gift cards!

How can you help? Save can tabs and send them in to Mr. Godin’s room.
Bottle Cap Drive
We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This provides new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation.
All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.
