THANK YOU
Traffic
We are seeing an increase in pedestrian traffic after school hours, especially on the Linden High School, Middle School, and Central campus, and we are asking that vehicles park in parking lots. Please DO NOT park on the side of the service drive, or on grassy areas.
We do appreciate everyone doing their part to keep our facilities looking GREAT!
Capacity at LCS Events
Currently, Linden Community Schools, is providing two tickets to each participant. These tickets will allow the ticket holder entry into Linden Athletic events.
Updates to Student Information
For the 2020-2021 school year we will be transitioning to a completely online format for updating student information for current students and enrollment of new students. Our online registration and enrollment process is REQUIRED for ALL current LCS students, as well as any new students to LCS.
Using the ParentVue portal parents/guardians must update student information for the new school year. Parents/guardians will have the ability to electronically sign handbook acknowledgements, update student demographic information, emergency contact information, medical and health information, Virtual Learning Agreement and transportation needs. This process will take about ten minutes per student. It is important that we have current, updated information for each student enrolled. Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation email indicating your updates.
- Secondary students (grades 6-12) are also REQUIRED to use the StudentVue portal to electronically sign mandatory forms.
- Elementary parents (grades Y5-5) will be REQUIRED to use the ParentVue portal to electronically sign their respective school’s Parent/Student Handbook acknowledgement forms.
Moving forward, all updates will be done through ParentVue. As your information changes (i.e. phone number, email address, etc.) you can simply login and update your information. IF you have already updated your student’s information, through ParentVue, thank you. You will not need to update again unless changes have occurred.
If you have specific questions regarding ParentVue or StudentVue, please contact your student’s building.

NWEA Testing
During the months of September, January, and May, your child will take a MAP® Growth™ test from NWEA® on a computer or tablet. MAP Growth scores help teachers check student performance by measuring achievement and growth. Teachers use results to tailor classroom lessons and set goals for students.
MAP Growth tests are unique, and it adapts to your child’s responses to measure your child’s skill level. If your child answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next one is easier. These results will provide a more complete picture of what your child knows and is ready to learn—whether it is on, above, or below their grade level.
Since MAP Growth tests provide immediate and accurate information about your child’s learning, it’s easy for teachers to identify students with similar scores that are generally ready for instruction in similar skills and topics, and then plan instruction accordingly.
MAP Growth reports also provide typical growth data for students who are in the same grade, subject and have the same starting performance level. Each school year, students in grades Kindergarten through grade 11 take the tests in reading and math. Following each testing period, the information will be available showing a summary of how your child is performing academically.
The Family Toolkit, provided by NWEA, contains several valuable resources for parents. These include a Family Guide, videos, FAQ, and much more.
