Student Achievement
Art Via Computer Code
The students in Mr. Dilks’ Coding 2 class made art via computer code. The students were required to use only Text-Based code as they created their masterpieces using the Python programming language. Well done!
NJ Mock Election
This week students participated in the NJ Mock Election! They practiced their civic duty of voting, while discussing why voting matters!
My Paper Skull
Mr. Czaikowski and Mrs. Gandy combined their Foundations Science classes for their students to learn about the structure and function of their skulls. The students created their own "My Paper Skull", where they combined science with art as they examined their own heads and made discoveries about their skull. Using their observations, they created a mask that shares characteristics with their own skull, including a moveable jaw.
Perspective
Mrs. Costino's 7th grade art classes learned about perspective. Green, purple and silver pod students learned how to draw a room using one-point perspective and had to add any figure they wanted to the room. Many students added Halloween inspired figures. The adaptive art class created a moonlit sky and created the illusion of depth by using different size bats.
