November events at the Savona Free Library! See what is new at the library!
November 7, 4 pm – 7 pm, Election Night Pancake Dinner to benefit the Savona Free Library. On Election night there will be a pancake dinner held at the Savona Federated Church, 20 Church St, Savona. Enjoy a great dinner, after or before voting, of pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee, and milk available for a free will offering. Sponsored by Savona Federated Church and served by the Friends of the Savona Free Library.
November 10, 6 pm – 7 pm, Celebrate America Recycle's Day a little early at the Savona Free Library in the Mary Helen Joint Meeting House (corner of McCoy St. and Main St. in Savona). Our crafty Rose will show all how to turn simple plastic grocery shopping bags into jump ropes, bracelets and/or wreath. Then you can celebrate on America Recycles Day, November 15, by jumping for joy.
November 11, 10 am – 12 pm, Auto Talk, Part I – for older automobiles. Do you have questions about caring and maintaining a car? Or are you thinking about buying a second hand automobile, and want to know what to look for in an older automobile? You’re in luck. The Savona Free Library and Goodrich Auto have teamed up to answer your questions. Auto Talk will be held at Goodrich Auto, 7255 Worth Rd, in Bath. The professionals at Goodrich Auto will be available to go over what the major parts of a car are, what kind of maintenance you should be doing, and what to look at in a second hand automobile You can bring your car to the program and if there is enough time, the professionals will go over where everything is on your car. Registration is requested (due to limited space). You can register by email savona@stls.org, phone (607)583-4426, or just stop in at the Library.

There will be stories, games and interactive play in the Early Literacy Room of at the Savona Free Library in the Mary Helen Joint Meeting House (corner of Main St. and McCoy St.). Registration is requested (to have enough supplies). You can register by email savona@stls.org, phone (607)583-4426, or just stop in at the Library.
November 17, 7 pm, – Savona Free Library’s Movie Night! Come and join the fun at the Movie Night showing The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature at the Savona Free Library in the Mary Helen Joint Meeting House (corner of McCoy St. and Main St. in Savona). The animals come together to save their beloved home from becoming an amusement park. Come to movie night to find out if the animals can work together and save their homes. Rated PG. This event is free. All are welcome to enjoy the show. You can bring your own snacks, or share snacks with everyone.

November 23, The Savona Free Library will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Board of Trustees and staff would like to wish all our friends and families a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
November 28, 12 pm – 3 pm Savona Free Library Board Meeting at the Savona Free Library in the Mary Helen Joint Meeting House (corner of Main St. and McCoy St.). The library board will meet as a regularly scheduled meeting. The public is welcome to attend. For more information please call Savona Free Library at (607)583-4426. Library Board Meetings are regularly held on the fourth Tuesday of the month except for the months of August and December.
November 28, 4 pm – 5 pm, Teen Advisory Committee Meeting. Teens who would like to help plan events, recommend items for the library, and volunteer to help the library are welcome to become part of the Teen Advisory Committee. Come join the fun and have a voice in the library. The meeting is held at the Savona Free Library in the Mary Helen Joint Meeting House (corner of Main St. and McCoy St.). November 28, 5 pm – 6 pm, Friends of the Savona Free Library. The Savona Free Library is looking for anyone wanting to be a friend of the library. Come to our meeting and help us plan fundraisers, events, and other ways to help the library become a center for all in our community to come to. The meeting will be held at the Savona Free Library in the Mary Helen Joint Meeting House (corner of Main St. and McCoy St.). Come help the library, meet new people and have a great time.
