Mark cuban grew up in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He had his first job going door to door selling garbage bags when he was 12. He skipped his senior year of high school and went to Indiana university where he had various jobs including being a dance instructor before he transferred to university of Indiana. Shortly after college he moved to Dallas where he worked for a software company for a while before getting fired for not following directions. A little while after getting fired he started his own software company called MicroSolutions which he would sell to CompuServe for 6 million dollars. Clearing himself nearly 2 million. In 1995 he started Broadcast.com which in four years would make have a quarterly revenue of 13.5 million dollars. He then went on to start and invest in various other companies most notably the Dallas mavericks which purchased a majority stake in in 2000.
