Mini Norfolk Career Fair
Next, during advisory, Mr Luhr has a mandatory senior meeting planned. All seniors must attend. He will speak with you for about 10 minutes. You will then be dismissed to the Johnny Carson Lobby. We will have some local business representatives here to speak with anyone interested in job opportunities in the Norfolk area. Some businesses are looking for graduates who want to go to work full time. Others are looking for part time workers.

Norfolk Panther Booster Scholarship
Senior Students who have a parent who is a member of the Norfolk Panther Booster Club can apply for a $750 scholarship. Two boys and two girls will receive a scholarship. Applications are due in the counseling center by 4:00 pm on May 4th.
Local 1005 Norfolk Fire Division Scholarship
Students planning to attend Northeast Community College can apply for this $500 scholarship due on May 4th at fire station (address listed on the application). See the application below for more details. The due date is different on the application, please just ignore the due date on the application.
Horatio Alger Career & Technical Education Scholarships
Students seeking to pursue career or technical education in a post-secondary environment can apply for up to $2,500 scholarships. This program provides financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Scholarship criteria also include:
- high school completion by spring of 2018
- commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical certificate/degree
- Pell Grant eligible
- US citizen

AITP Omaha Scholarships
The Omaha chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), in partnership with AIM, is offering several scholarships to help further the education of students who are planning to attend or continuing to attend a college, university, community college, or technical school in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, North Dakota, or South Dakota, with the goal of achieving an associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Instructions and application forms are available at www.aitpomaha.org. Deadline to apply is July 1, 2018.
