Student Engagement

Fall 2015, Issue 1

Hello Res Life!

It is that time of year again in which the s'mores will begin being sent out out to all staff members in Residential Life. These electronic newsletters will be sent out twice a month (every other week), and will contain upcoming events, departmental reminders, and/or suggestions for building community.

This will also be the way in which Take Five and Next Level Take Five programming will occur. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions you may have,

September Bulletin Boards

Tuesday, Sep. 1st, 12am

Residence Halls

All September Bulletin boards are due by 11:59pm on September 1, 2015. As communicated during training, staff can utilize the opening bulletin board to carry over into September, if and only if, these boards follow the community engagement guidelines.

September is Wellness Programming!

September is WELLNESS programming. This means that all programming occurring for the month should focus on meeting one of the two goals listed in the community engagement guide and on eRezlife.

Think outside the box and try not to rely on cliche programmatic items when conceptualizing program ideas. Wellness expands beyond healthy eating and lifestyles, and can meet any of your programming and student needs. Remember to think about your ideas first and then mold these thoughts to meet one or both goals.
