Student Pick Up & Drop Off Day

Student Pick-Up and Drop-Off Day will take place by grade level over a three day period with a fourth day for families who cannot make it on their scheduled day*. Below is the schedule we ask families to follow. Students/parents will meet KMS staff outside the building to drop off their materials and collect the personal items left in school lockers. Personal items have been collected, bagged, and labeled with the students name. We need to follow the given schedule to limit the number of people on school grounds in order to provide the required social distancing of 6 feet. Any personal items not collected during this week will be donated to local charities. We ask all families to respect social distancing (6ft space) and to wear face masks.

There will be two tables set up in front of the main entrance of KMS:

  • One table will be for drop off materials
  • One table for picking up personal items

* Families with students in multiple grades may pick up/drop off belongings for all of their children on their scheduled time.

* Return ALL KMS Library books when you pick up your belongings

** DO NOT RETURN YOUR CHROMEBOOK- Chromebooks will be used again next year.

***BAND INSTRUMENTS: Please be advised that Thursday’s “Band Instruments 12 - 1:30” time frame is ONLY for those students who need repairs or who are NOT continuing with band in our school district in the fall. We do not collect student instruments over the summer. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Brackett or Mrs. Labonte

**** Loaner Devices/Hot Spots- must be returned

INSURANCE! IF you have insurance for your device and you have anything more than a battery issue* then DO NOT turn it in- you will need to file a claim with the company. Here is a link to file a claim: https://www.worthavegroup.com/claim-submission

*If the device needs a new battery then our IT department can fix that because batteries are under warranty until the end of this school year. ONLY Batteries.

If you have a broken device from distance learning please return the broken device along with the loaner device. Please write your child's full name/grade level/device issue and tape it to the cover of the device.

I will be there to collect all devices from parents (loaners and broken ones).

Devices will be given back at the start of the 2020-21 school year. If you have an 8th grader then the device will be sent to Mt Hope.

Just a friendly reminder to keep your child's Chromebook charged throughout the summer. If the device is left uncharged then the battery will die.

** Do not leave the device plugged into the charger all summer, that may also cause the battery to not hold a charge.

All students will be using their Chromebooks in the upcoming year at KMS & MHHS.
