MSTEP Testing Important Message- Classroom Teachers
Please refer to the email that was sent by Susie this past weekend regarding F&P's and the Sheiko Reading Data Wall. Please update your students on the February tab with the highest instructional level. If your student is receiving reading intervention from Margaret or Susie, please give them a copy of the student's assessments (or give them the original(s) and they will make a copy and return the original). Susie and Margaret will look at the data wall next week on Tuesday to determine if any students need to be added to a reading intervention group or if any student needs to be discontinued. Don't hesitate to touch base with Susie or Margaret! **Shout out to the teachers that have updated the data wall already! :)

F&P Scores and sheiko Reading Data Wall
It is that time again... updating our Sheiko Reading Data Wall for FEBRUARY. Once you determine your student's highest instructional score please place their name accordingly on the data wall on the February tab. *If a student is independent at one level and hard at the next- place him/her at the hard level please.
Tier 3 Students and Reading Intervention:
Margaret and I will be looking at the data wall to determine if any students need reading intervention that are not currently receiving it.
*5th Grade Tier 3- S and lower
*4th Grade Tier 3- P and lower
*3rd Grade Tier 3- M and lower
If you have a student(s) in this range please put a copy of the student's highest instructional and hard F&P into the gray basket in my room. If you put the original in we will make a copy and return it. We need current reading intervention students and "new" Tier 3 student's F&P information.
Lack of progress/Concerned:
If you have a student that is Tier 2 (3rd- N, 4th- Q, 5th- T) in February and you are concerned about their lack of or little progress since November please highlight their name in yellow. Margaret or I will touch base with you regarding your concerns and student data/progress monitoring.
Current Reading Intervention Student and has made STRONG Gains:
If you have a student that is currently receiving reading intervention but has made strong gains - now are Tier 2 (3rd- N, 4th- Q, 5th- T or higher) in February. Set up a meeting with Margaret or I to discuss the student (and celebrate!) - at the meeting will compare data. We want to make sure the student is very SOLID in the area of accuracy and comprehension before exiting him or her- ideally independent at Tier 2 and instructional or hard at Tier 1.
Unsure? Questions? Need Support ?
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to Margaret or I. We can help you with scoring & analyzing your F&P assessments, determine goal(s) for your student(s), form groups for guided or strategy groups, progress monitoring, etc. We are here for you!
*I will be at school each day by 7:15 am and will stay on Monday & Tuesday until 5:00. Leaving around 4:15 on Wednesday and Thursday- let me know if you want to meet.
