Student Services Department
Our Central Bucks “Guidance” Department will now be known as “Student Services” Department. We are making this name change K-12 to better represent the wide-range of services that our Department provides to students and families across the district. While we certainly provide “guidance” to students, our School Counselors, School Psychologists, Student Support Social Workers, Student Support Counselors, and Nurses provide services including academic planning; college and career planning; social and emotional programs and initiatives; physical wellness; connections to community resources (financial, housing, food, services); and educational record management. We look forward to seeing students and families in our Student Services Office!

DON'T FORGET CLEARANCES ...
Titus will expect all potential volunteers to complete their paperwork for clearances prior to assuming any volunteer/chaperone role within the school. This will ensure we are in line with district and state expectations.
Who Needs Clearances: An individual who is responsible for the child's welfare or has direct contact with children. Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children to obtain background checks and clearances. In the best interest of the safety and security of our students, Central Bucks School District required the submission of these clearances prior to volunteering during the school year. Approved volunteers are given an identification card to be presented at the school (along with your photo ID, such as a driver's license) when volunteering. Please allow 7-10 days after you have submitted your online application for receipt of the ID card.
Additional information and steps on how to complete your clearances can be found on our district website by clicking here.

START OF THE SCHOOL DAY ...
Please be aware that the school day begins at 8:35 AM in your child(ren)'s classroom(s). If you are a car rider in the morning, it is recommended that children are dropped off no later than 8:30 AM in order to get to their classrooms for the start of the school day at 8:35 AM. If a student arrives in their classroom beyond 8:35 AM, they are considered tardy. Parents will need to come into the building to sign their child in if they arrive after 8:35 AM.
The adults supervising the car-rider drop-off line will be on duty until 8:32 AM. Students dropped off after 8:32 AM will more than likely not be able to make it to their classrooms on time for the start of the school day at 8:35 AM. Also, for safety reasons, students arriving to school prior to 8:15 AM, need to be supervised by their parent/caregiver. We ask that all students wait with their family member in the drop off line until 8:15 AM.

School Supplies
From Transportation
2022-2023 Student Transportation Schedules are now accessible in the Parent Portal under, "Transportation."
We ask parents to be patient during the first two weeks of each new school year. Drivers need time to adjust to new stops on their runs and to the needs of their passengers. We suggest students arrive 10 minutes early until a routine is established. We are especially mindful of the kindergarten and first grade students during this time. Additionally, individual schools extend the time for loading each bus to ensure that all students are placed on the correct bus.
Alternate Bus Stop Requests
All students will be able to "Find My Bus" for the 2021-2022 school year beginning on August 16th. More information can be found on the transportation website Transportation / Find My Bus (cbsd.org).
Warrington Township Back to School Traffic Safety
WALKERS and BIKE-RIDERS
Walkers coming from Oakfield, Chatfield and streets to our south will cross at the crosswalk by the police station and enter through the bus loop entrance. Walkers and bicyclists from north and west of the school will cross Barness at the end of the bicycle path at the crosswalk and will proceed on the school side of Lower Barness, entering the school through the cafeteria entrance. The sidewalk comes straight back to the cafeteria entrance so that students can remain removed from the bus loop entirely. Bicycle racks are available adjacent to that entrance. All bicyclists must wear safety helmets. Please also encourage your child(ren) to stay on the sidewalk while walking and riding for safety reasons especially due to car and bus traffic.
At the end of the day, walkers and bicyclists will be dismissed first so that they can exit the building in advance of bus and vehicular traffic. To ensure that classroom teachers have a complete list, we ask that you advise your teacher now if your child is going to be a walker at any time during the year so that their name will be included on the list.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURES
Beginning on the first day of school, August 29th, parents are asked to enter the Titus parking lot and stay to the right, proceeding to the back of the parking lot near the playground and following the yellow lines around to the Titus staff member who will help your child(ren) in and out of the car. This procedure will be used for both pick-up and drop-off. No students will enter through the main doors for drop-off or pick-up.
For AM drop off, all students should remain in their car in the car line until a staff member is present at 8:15AM to unload students from their vehicles. In the afternoon, the back gate will be opened at 3PM for afternoon car rider pick up. Please do not line up in our parking lot prior to 3pm as this creates a backup onto 611 and in our lot.
Each family will receive a "pick-up placard" on the first day of school that can be prominently displayed in their car window for the Titus staff members to see which student(s) are being picked up in the afternoon. Your child(ren)'s last name will be placed in the middle of the placard. It is suggested that you cover your placard with contact paper or a clear plastic sleeve so that it will last the school year. Please bear with us on the first week of school as it may take a little bit longer to adjust to the drop-off and pick-up procedures. Many Titus staff members will be present at these times during the first week to help direct you through the loop. Please take a look at the picture below for a visual of the drop-off and pick-up loop. T
We thank you in advance for your cooperation and support.

Breakfast and Lunch Information

FOR OUR YOUNGER FRIENDS
On the first day of school for our younger children who might be unable to remember their room and teacher assignment, you may wish to pin an index card on their clothing or book bag indicating their name, classroom, and teacher. Teachers will be stationed throughout the building to assist students as they arrive.
There is always a friendly face at Titus to help our students. We cannot wait to see you soon!
Notes from the Nurse
Welcome back to Titus! Just a few quick reminders before we start this school year.
All new students please be sure your immunizations are up to date. Please feel free to send them to my email address once they are complete. If your child’s immunizations are incomplete, you would have received an email from me.
Physical and dental exams
- Students entering Grade 3--Dental Exam
- Students entering Grade 6-- Physical Exam
- Students entering Kindergarten and all students new to the district—will need a completed physical and dental exam.
The completed health forms are due no later than October 14, 2022. Please keep a copy of the health form for your records.
Change in health status: Please notify the nurse if your child has a change in their health status during the school year (surgeries, fractures, and sprains, along with any family or emotional issues that arise). The more information we have concerning your child, the more we can adequately attend to their needs during the school day. If your child had any change in their health status over the summer, please reach us and let us know.
We will see you soon,
