eBRIEF!
The State Support Team 1 Newsletter for Busy Educators
A Letter from Lynn
The one thing that the pandemic has provided the SST is multiple ways to reach out to the region without combating icy roadways, delays in start times, and fear of getting stuck in snow drifts on our rural roads. This February, unlike those in the past, we have a full calendar of professional learning opportunities, networking sessions, and in-district coaching, collaborating, and learning that we can say with confidence...will go on as planned!
In addition to these opportunities, we are unveiling our new Graduation Infographic this month, be sure to review it to help guide your district's planning for graduation for all students, but especially for your vulnerable student populations.
At this time of year, many of us are looking at our New Year's Resolutions in the rearview mirror, but know that looking forward in 2021, the SST remains resolute in supporting our region in whatever way we can.
Lynn

Career and Technical Education (CTE) prepares students for a skills-based career in a variety of fields, across 16 career clusters including business, health science, manufacturing, information technology, law, and so much more! The practice, hands-on experience, and application of knowledge built into CTE courses can lead to industry certification, college credit, or direct employment in the student's chosen field.
CTE Month helps raise awareness of the high-wage, high-demand careers available to students who choose to pursue one of these pathways as a part of their high school education.

NEW Resource! Ohio Graduation Planning Infographic
There are direct connections between the Career Advising Policy, Ohio Graduation Planning Law, Success Plans, Graduation Requirements, and The One Plan...but they aren't always easy to see when working through the vast amount of information available.
We thought we'd help make it a bit easier to find the intersection points of these important policies as you work to support students as they explore careers, prepare for graduation, and make post-secondary plans.
Please contact SST 1 CTE Consultant, Lisa Hite if you have questions.
