October is Dyslexia Awareness Month!
Take a moment to help us raise awareness of dyslexia.
How can you help your child? Be sure he/she reads daily.
What is dyslexia?
Dyslexia is a language based disorder that can affect reading, writing, and spelling. It is NOT a problem with intelligence, eyes, or motivation. Click the link below for a quick overview of what dyslexia is and how it affects students.

Dyslexia Simulation
Try this! Write the alphabet in lower case cursive letters with your nondominant hand. Try to do this as fast as you can and imagine you are being rushed along by your teacher. This may give you some idea of the frustration that students with dyslexia feel on a daily basis.
