Welcome to Mendi Winn, who is now a full time member of the Brazos River RDSPD family. Mendi has a teacher's heart, sign language skills, and is the perfect fit for our program! We couldn't be happier!!!
Upcoming: TEEN CLUB-BRRDSPD Competes in the Gallaudet University - Battle of the Books
Six of our 6th-8th DHH students will be competing in the December 6th, Gallaudet University Battle of the Books. Students have read 6 books and will be competing with other schools from across the United States using the video phone. They will be answering a series of questions as a team while competing about their knowledge and deep understanding of the literature. We are very pleased to announce our participants this year will be: Madison Birchell, Jodi Oesterle, Christian Dunn, William McGinnis, Colton Stearns, and Mikel Scott.
Featured Student of the Month- Gracie Strohmeyer
Gracie is a Junior at Stephenville High School and has been a part of the Brazos River RDSPD family since she was an infant. Gracie participates in Imagination Texas and loves participating in any and all of the Brazos River Field Trips! She is a hard working member of the Stephenville Stingerettes. Go Yellow Jackets!!
DISCOVERY RETREAT
Several of our High School students attended Discovery Retreat at Peaceable Kingdom in Killeen, Tx. Discovery Retreat focuses on developing leadership skills and promotes open-minded attitdues toward all types of communication.
