Principal's Note: 7th Annual Attendance Awareness Campaign - We Belong in School!

North Shore School District 112 is working in partnership with families to encourage regular attendance in school. Next week, the Lake County Regional Office of Education is bringing awareness to the importance of regular school attendance by hosting a friendly challenge to see which schools have the highest attendance rates in the county! As appropriate, please send your children to school on time each day to help us reach as close to 100% participation as possible.

Unfortunately, poor attendance, regardless of the reason, can negatively affect students' grades and social emotional development long term. Students must be present in order to successfully learn skills, demonstrate proficiency and mastery, and keep up with the required class work.

If you are having difficulty getting your child to attend school regularly, or if unique circumstances are affecting your child's attendance, please contact your child’s teacher, school social worker, school psychologist, or principal for help. We are committed to working with you to increase attendance and ensure that your child benefits from his or her education. Thank you for partnering with us for the success of your children!
