Ott Families,
Happy October! We can't believe we are already in the month of October. We have enjoyed seeing students and families in the hallways. It brings us so much joy to see our hallways filled with joyful students! We are back into our routine with seeing students during guidance! We hope they are excited to see us and sharing what they learn from their school counselors!

Declaration of Respect
On Friday October 8th, students and staff will be invited to sign their name to show they'll be respectful to themselves and to others. We discuss how our actions can help build a safe, welcoming, and kind culture at our campus.
Guidance Lessons
Students learned about the role of their school counselor. We are here to talk about their emotions, set goals, support them. We show our students that we love and care about them!
Anytime we begin a guidance lesson, we like to take a mindful moment. We learn different types of breathing techniques to use in the classroom or at home.
Students K-5 learned about Kelso's Choices. Kelso's Choices are conflict-resolution skills. Students learn how they are in control of solving small problems, but when a big, serious problem occurs then they must get an adult.
