The 2024 State of the District
Attention RCS Parents! The 2024 State of the District - Parent Informational Event is coming on Thursday, February 22nd, 6pm at RHS. We are pleased to share the linked Breakout Session Overview document for your review. All RCS parents are invited to attend (this event is not for students/children). Our informational sessions provide offerings pertinent to parents with children at all levels. We hope to see you there.
Election Update
The election is less than two weeks away! Romeo Community Schools voters will go to the polls in about 10 days to cast their vote on two proposals: a non-homestead operating millage renewal and a sinking fund renewal. If approved, neither proposal will affect the tax rate on a homeowner's primary residence (the home in which you live). This election is important because it will provide millions of dollars for the support of our students' educational programs and their school facilities. All registered parents can vote in one of three ways: If you requested an absentee ballot, don’t forget to drop it off at your local clerk today! Take advantage of in-person early voting beginning this Saturday, Feb. 17 through Sunday, Feb. 25. Early Voting Information Sheet Vote on Election Day, Feb. 27, at your regular voting precinct.

MISD Student Diversity Summit
5 Leadership students and I attended the Macomb County Student Diversity Summit today at the MISD with a handful of SERVE members from RHS. They learned about ways to celebrate and embrace diversity in our community through various breakout sessions and interactive opportunities with leaders in Macomb County.
Our students were so brave and were the first middle schoolers to present their takeaways from the summit with a crowd of 400+ students and adults from throughout Macomb County. They spoke with confidence, enthusiasm, and wisdom beyond their years.... it was an awesome experience to see them spread their leadership abilities outside of RMS. One of our previous RMS Leadership students - Eden Eyeson - served on the Advisory Committee for the conference, as well. Romeo was well represented!
RMS Cheer
The Cheer team ended their season with 2 amazing wins at Oxford Mardi Gras Competition!
