NAVTA Certification

The Vet Science program at Locust Trace is one of 5 high school programs in the nation to be endorsed by the National Association for Veterinary Technicians in America. This means that students can take a test at the end of their third semester in the course to become certified as an "Approved Veterinary Assistant" (AVA). This allows students to earn more money and get better jobs in the veterinary field.

Check Out Our New Dual-Enrollment Classes!

This semester we will be offering dual-credit classes such as: College Algebra, Basic Equine Physiology, Dual-Enrollment Biotechnology, Intro to the Thoroughbred, and Equine Bloodstock. Next semester we will offer: College Algebra, Intro to Commercial Breeding, and Dual-Enrollment Biotechnology (must be enrolled in both Fall and Spring semesters).
