Our Week at Reutter School
Week of December 12, 2022
Principal's Message
Reutter School Families:
All students will be receiving a copy of the family life permission slips through their homeroom teacher on Wednesday. The family life classes will be held during two enrichment class periods in January. Mr. Burlingame, the Reutter School Physical Education and Health Teacher, will lead the class for the boys. Mrs. Zorzi, the Reutter School Nurse, will lead the class for the girls. The boys and girls will be separated during these lessons.
In a level of transparency with parents to make an informed decision whether or not they would like to grant permission for their child to attend our family life lessons in January, a Family Life Resource document has been created. This document contains links to the videos that will be shown to students and copies of the instructional resources that are used by the family life teachers to prepare their lessons. The Family Life Resource can be found in the link located at the conclusion of the Principal's Message.
We are asking that parents return the family life permission slips by Wednesday, December 21 indicating whether or not they would like their child to participate in the family life classes.
This Friday evening, the PTO will be hosting their Annual Winter Dance from 7 PM - 9 PM. All parents/guardians are asked to come into the school's main entrance vestibule to sign-in and sign-out their child.
A reminder that report cards will become available as of 8 AM on Monday, December 12. Please log onto the RealTime Parent Portal to view your child's Trimester 1 Grades.
Educationally Yours,
Mr. Peters
Principal

A Look At This Past Week...
Fifth Grade Students Learn About STEM Professions
Mrs. Rambone’s 5th grade Math class at Caroline L. Reutter School recently welcomed two STEM professionals, Dr. Cassandra Ullrich and Mr. Cameron Rambone, for a question and answer visit. The guests arrived by way of the technology of a video call to inspire students to keep working hard and to teach them how important math is in their profession. The students really enjoyed hearing about the visitors’ experiences in the medical and scientific fields and how math is incorporated in their offices every day. The students were surprised at the very end, discovering that Dr. Ullrich and Mr. Rambone were actually former students of the district!
