Their are many of body's of water in the piney woods Ecoregion. Lake Livingston State park is obviously both so lets get started. Lake Livingston has most of the largest fish in the state. Hiking is also a big part of the whole park. There is so much see in so little time in a day so you want to stay longer. You can hike, fish, boat, ride horses and so much more.

One thing I know about out door actives in the piney woods ecoregion is hunting. This is the number one place to go hunting in the state. Hunting in the PIneywoods is great for finding deer, duck, squirrels, bobcats, quail and dove. Horseback riding is also available.
Several state parks offer equipment to make your camping more enjoyable. There are many trails to hike and a lot of nature to see.
