Creating a Math Environment in the K-2 Classroom
Just like how every classroom needs to have a class library to foster students literacy, every classroom needs to have math area to foster mathematical literacy. If we truly value math in our classroom then math has to have a place in our rooms as well. In so doing students will see its importance , be able to access supports, and explore the mathematical concepts. Join us for a day of gaining ideas so your students can see math as an importance piece of their everyday learning.
Cooling the Curriculum Hot Spots in Math (Grades 6-8)
Some content is just plain tough to teach. Add in the process standards, and rigor is off the chart. In each content area we could all use some fresh ideas to teach kids important but complex things. Are you ready to motivate and energize your students? Try out new ideas – innovate on old ones – and have a fun time learning with the lead4ward crew!
