WHERE THEY COME FROM

Sunburns are a very common that affect humans. They come from the sun's radiation, and will appear on your skin depending on how sensitive your skin is and also due to the amount of time you spend outside.

HOW TO HELP THE BURN

~ cold damp towel onto burned area

~ moisturize your skin often that has aloe vera

~ drink lots of fluids (water)

~ibuprofen/advil/tylenol

~ leave blisters alone

~ cold showers

~ lotions with hydrocortisone (1%)

What to avoid

If you have a sunburn avoid...


~soap

If you use soap in the shower on areas where you got burned, it will make your skin even more dry which will then irritate it. Also avoid any rubbing to the burned area.
