NP³ Elementary 2021-2022

Matey Families Week 18 January 3-7, 2022

You are loved

Dear Matey Families,

Welcome back! Happy New Year!

I am so excited to welcome you and your students back to campus for the rest of our school year. 2022 is going to be a year to remember!

Quarter 3 is a time of great academic focus and student growth at elementary schools. This week staff will review student expectations and schoolwide procedures. Over the course of the month, students will take the iReady mid-year assessment. This assessment will track students' individual progress toward meeting learning standards. Although this is just one of the many assessments teachers use to measure progress, the data from iReady assists the teachers as they create individualized learning opportunities for students.

Attached (and below) is information for families about iReady.

Leadership learning is all around us, including one of our favorite activities— watching movies! Ask these questions to invite leadership learning through movies.

Girls on the Run is coming to NP3 Elementary!

Girls on the Run is a program that inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through research-based curricula which include dynamic discussions, activities, and running games.

Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-5th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.

We are currently entering our fifth GOTR season at NP3, with a FULL team of 20 girls participating in the past!

If you are interested in this program, registration opens on January 24th at www.gotrsac.com (see button below).

For more information, please contact Mrs. Riehl at priehl@natomasunified.org. We hope to run with you soon!
