Bear Branch Junior High Library Newsletter

January 2021

A new year is a popular time to set new goals and challenges. I want to challenge all of my BBJH Bears to "BRANCH OUT" and read something different in 2021. Try a new genre or different author. Maybe try a new style of writing-like a book in verse or a graphic novel. Come by the library and let me know what you want to read differently or allow me to help you choose. We are going to have a great year filled with new reading adventures.

Fascinating Facts about Libraries

The McAllen Public Library in McAllen, Texas, is located in a converted Walmart store and might be the largest single-story library location in the country. The 123,000-square foot space has a computer lab, a cafe, and an 180-seat auditorium.

(The first 10 students that come in and let me know that you read this fascinating fact gets a sweet treat!)

Mrs. Harper is Currently Reading...

The Guest List by Lucy Foley. This was recommended to me by another teacher. It is an entertaining suspense novel and I am loving it!
