Yet to Be Named Newsletter
North Forsyth Middle School
Welcome to the 2014 School Year!
Dear Friends of North Middle:
I welcome everyone back to school and am pleased that you are reading our preview of our new newsletter. The full newsletter will be published six times a year and will have important details about North Middle. This effort is a work in progress, so please let us know what you think and how we can improve in our efforts to keep all students, parents and other interested Wildcats informed.
It is hard to believe that we are already in our third week of school! It was a pleasure to welcome the class of 2021 into our 6th grade and it is my sincerest hope that they are having a wonderful start to their middle school years. Our 7th and 8th graders are of course accustomed to middle school life, but are certainly starting to view their experiences through a new lens. Watching this growth and transformation from entering 6th graders to exiting 8th graders is easily one of the most thrilling aspects of our work. On behalf of the entire staff, I thank all of the readers for letting us be a part of this wonderful time with our students.
Watch for full issues of the newsletter in the future and thanks again for your support of North Middle. Please make sure you vote for the name of the newsletter. The link is included below.
Go CATS!

NFMS Chorus
The NFMS Chorus is very excited to be back in session! We have just finished our first fundraiser of the year, selling discount cards, and we raised over $5,000 for our program! We are thrilled to use this money to purchase new performance risers and music for our winter concert! Our next fundraiser, selling Cheesecake/Cookie Dough/Desserts, will kick off in October… just in time for the holidays! All chorus classes just finished a group project where they had to memorize a song, create dance movements to go along with it, and perform the song for their class.
We are very eager to start working on our music for our first concert in October. Chorus members are receiving their Handbook with uniform information this week. Please return the red/blue sheets and the uniform money no later than Friday, August 29th! Calendars will be going home by the end of the month! I am looking forward to a great year with so many familiar faces and new ones!
