Model Curriculum for PA School Libraries Stage 3
Eileen Kern, PSLA Immediate Past President, will be providing an evening session of PA Model Curriculum, Stage 3 training. The free evening training will take place at CLIU21 in Schnecksville on Thursday, May 14th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm and will provide ACT 48 credit for those attending.
Please RSVP by completing the Google Form below if you are planning to attend by Tuesday, May 12th.
Attendees should bring their brown bag dinner for a dining and learning experience.
The Model Curriculum for PA School Library Programs is now complete! Whether you have already attended 2012 and 2013 training sessions or are just beginning to use The Model Curriculum, this training is for you. You’ll gain an understanding of how The Model Curriculum relates to the PA Core Standards and how all three stages work together: Desired Results and Assessment Evidence for students and the Learning Plan for librarians and teachers partnering together. You’ll learn how to engage students in Performance Tasks, apply a rubric to assess their progress, and craft a Learning Plan for your teaching.
Please print out the documents from the webpage above that pertain to your grade level(s) prior to the training session. Printed copies of documents will not be provided in the trainings.
