Padlet is a web-based virtual bulletin board where users can collaborate, share ideas, and organize information. It allows users to create a canvas, also known as a "wall," where they can post various types of content such as text, images, videos, documents, links, and audio recordings.

The platform is often for various purposes, such as brainstorming, project planning, feedback collection, collaborative note-taking, and visual presentations.

Users can customize their Padlets by choosing from various design templates, backgrounds, fonts, and colors. They can also control the privacy settings and choose whether to make their Padlet public or private, and who can view or edit the content.

This 1-hour pd will help users become more familiar with Padlet navigation and explore possible uses for Padlet in the classroom.

In this session, Andrea Zielke, the TEL Administrator, will show how to get the most out of the free research databases available on the Tennessee Electronic Library. You’ll learn which database to use for different assignments, search tips and tricks and how to master the tools for creating citations and sharing research resources with OneDrive. In this self-paced course, participants will learn how to download and set up tmyviewboard whiteboard software on their laptop, annotate content from their PC and One Drive, annotate over webpages, and pull in nondigital work in the form of pictures. SELF-PACED GETTING STARTED WITH SCHOOLOGY

Descriptor: Schoology will be the new learning management system (LMS) for RCS. In this "getting started" session, participants will learn how to navigate the Schoology platform, experience Schoology as a student, prepare materials for use in their Schoology courses and share content within the PLC environment. PlayPosit is a web-based tool that lets teachers create and edit interactive video assessments from streamed or uploaded content. Teachers upload an audio file or a video from popular sites such as YouTube and Vimeo to create an interactive video or bulb. This self-paced PD will walk participants through how to create, assign and analyze data from this learning tool.

SELF PACED USING MASTERY CONNECT FOR ASSESSMENT

Mastery Connect provides tools for teachers to track mastery of standards in real-time, and it also serves as a repository for teacher-created formative assessments. Students can take tests both online and on Bubble sheets. Bubble sheets can be scanned using a phone app, document camera, or webcam through the partner app Grade Cam. The "mastery" part of the website helps teachers plan assessments linked to standards and analyze data collected from the assessments.

For SPED Teachers only! Join us in this intro to Lexia session where we will cover how Lexia resources can help to inform instruction and save you valuable time. Using Lexia, students work independently at their own pace through individualized learning paths to develop fundamental reading skills in a structured, sequential manner. Teachers are notified when students require support or intervention and are provided with the resources for face-to-face instruction. Within myLexia student data reports, a data-driven action plan is provided to take the guesswork out of differentiating instruction by focusing the teacher’s time on the greatest needs in the classroom and prescribing the instructional intensity needed to help students make the gains they need.

Self-Paced PD - Building Reading Fluency with Teams Reading Progress

Did you know that Microsoft Teams now has a new type of assignment called Reading Progress? Assign passages to students either from your own library of passages or browse the passages provided in Teams. Students record themselves reading the passage (with or without video, your choice). Then Microsoft Teams gives you and your student feedback on words per minute and accuracy, including mispronunciations, omissions, and insertions. And new this year, feedback on students' phonics! Save your class time to work with students on their individual literacy issues instead of having to spend time listening to students read aloud in class.
