Snackpack Program
The Snackpack program is supported by community donations and volunteers. It is designed to provide non-perishable food items every Friday to children that would benefit from supplemental nourishment over the weekend. Snackpacks consist of 8-10 mini meals and snack items that are child friendly, non-perishable and easily consumed. Bags are dispensed in a discreet and caring manner by school staff each week. This program runs the full school year and there is no cost to participate.
If you wish for your child(ren) to participate in the program please contact Barb Schochenmaier at Pike Lake at 651-621-7438 to request a permission form. If your children attend more than one school, you can include them all on one permission form.
Interest in supporting the Snackpack program? Visit ralphreederfoodshelf.com or call 651-621-6280.
Sincerely,
Lisa Baker

October 11 is a non-school-day and an opportunity for K-8 students to spend the day at Afton Apple Orchard with Community Education! Climb aboard the hayride as we learn how to pick our own apples, discover why bees are important and explore the pumpkin patch. Each student will pick three apples and a small pumpkin to bring home! After the hayride, we will explore the petting zoo and play on the awesome playground. Drop-off is at 8:30 a.m. and pick-up is at 5 p.m. at Valentine Hills Elementary School. Students will need to bring a bag lunch.
Registration Fee: $55 per participant
