ORES Newsletter
May 12, 2023
Dear Oak Ridge Families,
This coming week is the last week of school! We will dismiss at the normal time on May 18th. Weekly newsletters from the elementary will resume in August before school starts.
This edition of the Oak Ridge Elementary Newsletter has links to many online learning resources to prevent summer learning loss. If you are looking for educational activities for your student over the summer, scan the QR codes below. Our goal is to have students spending 20 minutes per week working on reading/language skills and 20 minutes per week working on math skills to prevent summer learning loss. In addition to the online resources below, we will be sending home practice packets for students to use over the summer. Additionally, students will be given free books to keep so they can read at home over the summer.
Don't forget to purchase your 22-23 yearbook!
Please pay lunch bills, before/after school care bills, early childhood bills, or any other fees as soon as possible. Have a restful weekend with family and don't forget about play day and kindergarten graduation happening this week.
Sincerely,
Sonia Wood
