POETRY AND MUSIC COMPETITION
8th Annual Performing for Social Justice Poetry and Music Competition
Submit your piece by November 10, 2017. This year's theme is WOR(L)D EQUALITY.
To participate, you can:
- interpret an existing musical piece, song or poem, OR
- write an original musical piece, song or poem OR
- submit a Poésie-vidéo project, in the language of you choice.
Participants may decide to perform alone, or in a group. Even an entire class may decide to perform a poem, song or musical piece together.
The contest will take place on Thursday, November 16th, 2017 at 5:00pm in the Linehan Chapel at GAC and each participant will be invited to perform on that evening.
Mrs. Ariane Baer-Harper, writer, translator, Director of Global Engagement at Allendale-Columbia High School, and French teacher will deliver the keynote on the Power of Words in the World.
