Our Canned Food Drive is Here!
In the spirit of the season, we are starting our “Giving Tree Project” and need your help. This year all food items collected at Wilson School will go to the Sacred Heart Food Closet to prepare food baskets for needy families. For each food item brought in, your child will be given an ornament to decorate and place on the Christmas tree in the main hallway of the school.
The Food Closet is most in need of peanut butter, canned fruit, canned tuna, jiffy corn muffin mix, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, noodles, pasta (spaghetti, macaroni), canned soup, boxed macaroni and cheese, canned vegetables, powdered milk, evaporated milk, pinto or similar dry beans (any size bag), any size bag of white rice, and canned pork and beans. Please remember that every food item means that one child or adult will not go to bed hungry one night. We will be collecting food items until Thursday, December 17th.
Thank you, GESPTA!

The Classroom Giving Tree is Back!
In an effort to help ease the strain on our teacher’s pocket books, the Wilson School Community is very excited to be sponsoring a “Classroom Giving Tree”. This program is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who would like to support the students of Wilson School by providing specific items needed in their classrooms.
This is how it will work: In the hallway, directly outside the Wilson School front office, there is a beautiful tree with tags in the shape of leaves. Each tag has listed a teacher’s name and room number, the number of students in the classroom, and a specific item needed for that classroom. Parents and friends of Wilson School can pull off as many tags from the tree as they would like, purchase the items listed, and deliver them to the Wilson School office or directly to the classroom teacher that made the request. The “Classroom Giving Tree” will continue to be replenished throughout the school year with requests as needed. You are welcome to contribute to any classroom…your child’s, a grandchild’s, or any other classroom on campus. All donations to any classroom are welcome and very much appreciated!!!!
We are very excited about the “Classroom Giving Tree” and look forward to helping with our children’s education “grow!”
