OWL Library Media Services

Alison Rahman, Library Media Specialist
Greetings OWL staff! Happy First Week of School! Please allow me a moment again, to introduce myself. I am new to the profession (school librarianship, that is), but not new to teaching - I've been a special education teacher in St. Paul for the last 16 years, working with kiddos from 6th grade on up. I am beyond excited to begin this new part of my journey at OWL as the Library Media Specialist and look forward to collaborating with all of you!
Things Alison can do for you:
- Compile websites and e-books for your class assignments
- Co-teach a lesson/unit in your classroom (or in the Idea Lab)
- Provide instruction to students on the research process, finding reliable resources, and responsible use of information
- Talk about books
- Help navigate use of the iPad in your instruction
- Help in any other way!
OWL's Library has moved!
Anticipated to be ready by the end of September/early October, our Idea Lab (in 2105) will be home to OWL's modest print collection and books will be ready for check-out! I'm working on moving and organizing all of the fabulous new titles Elizabeth purchased last year (and perhaps incorporating in some of the books that were home to Open's library). Let me know if there's something specific you're looking for before then!
