Upcoming Practice Intruder Drill
On Wednesday, 2/7/18, we will conduct a scripted ALICE drill as part of our ongoing effort to practice school safety. Unfortunately, this drill comes on the heels of a very real event that occurred in Western Kentucky just last month. We practice these drills in the hope that we will never use them, but with the understanding that our preparation is necessary. This specific drill will be a stationary drill where students and staff will discuss possible scenarios around intruder safety in their classrooms. The ALICE acronym stands for: Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Escape. During this drill, we will discuss these options as a staff and student body within each classroom. Teachers and students are encouraged to make the best decisions based on the information they receive from the P.A. system. Please continue this conversation at home with your students to continue to help educate them on such situations. Remaining quiet and executing instructions will be vital. Again, we hope to never have to use this drill, however, we want to be prepared. Thank you.

Lakeview Lacrosse
We are looking for good students, good athletes, and good families to add to our program. There is no experience necessary. Good people can become good lacrosse players by bringing an open mind, a desire to learn, and a great attitude. This is the time to get involved!!
Want to see what the lacrosse is all about?? Come to any of the open conditioning sessions on Wednesdays: 7:00pm - 8:00pm in the North Fieldhouse. Even if you don’t have equipment, we have equipment you can borrow to see if you like the sport!
All sessions are held in the PHSN Fieldhouse. Please enter the doors through the ‘back’ of the building near the stadium. The doors are labeled ‘GG’ and are located between the two storage sheds. You can’t miss them! Kids should bring the following items to conditioning: Tennis (non-marking) shoes, athletic wear (shorts and t-shirt), and a small snack/water if you wish.

Why Lacrosse? Lacrosse has been said to be ‘the fastest game on two feet’. While combining almost every sport that kids will play growing up, lacrosse connects the body with the mind. After speaking with many of our alumni that began at the junior high level, they’ve said that lacrosse has taught them discipline, strategy, mental and physical toughness, and leadership/teamwork.
PHSN/ Lakeview Lacrosse: This is our second year as a school-sanctioned varsity sport although we have had a club program for over 10 years. We have recently been recognized as a top 10 program in the area and look to further our success and to build our reputation as a lacrosse school. Our season officially begins on February 19th, 2018 and will run until the end of school. Registration is now open on the 8 to 18 website. We will be conditioning until the beginning of the season, please see the schedule above.
